Replace a Condensate Pump
Swap the pump (mini-split / furnace / coil), verify the float operates, WIRE the safety/overflow float switch into the Y/24 V circuit so it cuts cooling on failure, fit the check valve and a sloped discharge line, then pour-test it.
Approx. 50 min
Before you start
- •Pump confirmed failed: won't run on a high float, runs but won't lift water, leaks, or the reservoir overflows — and the drain itself isn't simply clogged downstream.
- •Replacement pump rated for the lift height and gph needed; plus a safety/overflow float switch if one isn't already wired in.
- •Power can be killed to the pump and the 24 V thermostat circuit is accessible for the safety switch.
