This Acceptable Use Policy (the “AUP”) is part of, and incorporated into, the Coldr LLC (“Coldr”) Terms of Service. It governs your use of the Coldr apps and the websites at coldr.app and app.coldr.app(the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this AUP. Violations may result in throttling, suspension, or termination under Section 5 and Section 12 of the Terms.
1. General standard
You may use the Service only for its intended purpose — your own and your Organization’s lawful, professional HVAC and refrigeration field work — and only in compliance with the Agreement and all applicable laws.
2. Prohibited uses
You will not, and will not permit anyone else using your account to:
2.1 Unlawful or harmful use. Use the Service for any illegal purpose; to facilitate work you are not licensed or certified to perform; to violate any law, regulation, code, or third-party right; or in any way that could cause harm to persons, property, or the environment.
2.2 Abuse, fraud, and security threats. Engage in fraud, deception, harassment, or abuse; introduce malware; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems; probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service; or interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks (including denial-of-service attempts).
2.3 Automated, bulk, and scraping use. Access the Service through bots, scrapers, crawlers, headless clients, or other automated means except via interfaces and credentials we expressly authorize; scrape, harvest, or bulk-export data, content, equipment data, fault-code data, or AI outputs; or generate automated, scripted, or machine-driven request volume.
2.4 Resale and redistribution. Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, time-share, or commercially exploit the Service, or make it available to third parties as a service bureau, except as expressly permitted for authorized Organization seats.
2.5 Reverse engineering and IP misuse. Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code, models, prompts, datasets, or underlying ideas of the Service, except to the limited extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law; remove or alter proprietary notices; or copy, frame, or mirror the Service or its content.
2.6 Account and seat sharing. Share, sell, or transfer your account or credentials; allow more individuals to use a seat than the seat permits; or create accounts by automated means or to evade limits, bans, or fees. Each individual user must have their own seat. Organizations are responsible for ensuring seats map to distinct individuals.
2.7 Misuse of the AI assistant. Use the AI assistant to generate unlawful, infringing, harmful, or deceptive content; to attempt to extract the underlying model, system prompts, or training data; to circumvent usage limits; or in any automated or high-volume manner inconsistent with single-professional use (see Section 3).
2.8 Misrepresentation. Misrepresent your identity, licensure, certification, or affiliation; impersonate others; or input data you are not authorized to share.
3. Fair use of “Unlimited” AI
3.1 Where a plan is marketed as “Unlimited” AI, that means unlimited for ordinary, good-faith use by a single professional in the field — not unrestricted machine-scale consumption. To keep the Service fast, available, and affordable for everyone, Coldr applies reasonable controls, which may include monthly usage pools, weekly throttles, per-minute rate limits, and anomaly detection.
3.2 The following are outside fair use and may be throttled, queued, suspended, or terminated without notice: automated or scripted querying; volume far exceeding normal single-user patterns; sharing one account or seat across multiple people; using the Service to power another product or a bulk pipeline; reselling AI access; or activity that degrades the Service for others.
3.3 Coldr may, in its reasonable discretion, define and adjust fair-use thresholds and may contact you before acting where practical. Repeated or egregious abuse may result in account termination. AI credit top-ups (where offered) are subject to the same fair-use rules and are non-refundable and may expire as described in the Terms and the Refund & Billing Policy.
4. Reporting and Coldr’s rights
4.1 Report suspected violations, abuse, or security issues to support@coldr.app.
4.2 Coldr may monitor use for compliance, security, and capacity; investigate suspected violations; and take action including warning, rate-limiting, suspending, or terminating accounts and removing content. We may preserve and disclose information as required by law or to protect the Service and its users.
5. Consequences
Violating this AUP is a breach of the Terms. Depending on severity, Coldr may (a) throttle or rate-limit your access, (b) suspend your account, (c) terminate your account and license, and/or (d) pursue any remedy available at law or in equity. No refund is owed for access lost due to a violation, except as required by law. See Sections 5, 7, and 12 of the Terms.
