This Refund & Billing Policy is part of, and incorporated into, the Coldr LLC (“Coldr”) Terms of Service. It explains how billing, auto-renewal, cancellation, and refunds work for the Coldr apps and the websites at coldr.app and app.coldr.app (the “Service”). By subscribing, you agree to this Policy. Capitalized terms have the meanings in the Terms.

1. Plans and pricing

Coldr offers a Free tier and paid subscription plans (currently Starter, Pro, Crew, and Company). Plan features, prices, AI usage allowances, billing intervals, and per-seat pricing for multi-seat plans (Crew, Company) are shown at checkout and at coldr.app. Prices may change prospectively with advance notice as required by law, effective no earlier than your next renewal.

2. Billing cadence and automatic renewal

2.1 Paid plans are billed in advance for the chosen interval (e.g., monthly). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, and your payment method is charged automatically, until you cancel.

2.2 Before you are charged, we disclose the plan, price, interval, the fact of automatic renewal, and how to cancel, and we obtain your express informed consent. These practices and the simple cancellation method in Section 4 are designed to comply with the Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act (ROSCA, 15 U.S.C. §§ 8401–8405) and the FTC’s negative-option requirements. See Section 8 of the Terms (Subscriptions, Billing, and Auto-Renewal).

Note on the FTC “Click-to-Cancel” Rule (16 CFR Part 425). In 2024 the FTC amended the Negative Option Rule (often called the “Click-to-Cancel” Rule). On July 8, 2025, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit vacated the amended rule, which reinstated the prior Negative Option Rule, and as of March 2026 the FTC has issued an advance notice of proposed rulemaking to revisit the rule. Regardless of the rule’s current status, Coldr’s auto-renewal and cancellation practices are designed to comply with ROSCA and with the consumer-protection principles of clear disclosure, informed consent before charge, and simple cancellation.

3. Payment processing

  • Web: payments are processed by Stripe.
  • iOS (App Store): in-app purchases are processed by Apple (managed via RevenueCat).
  • Android (Google Play): in-app purchases are processed by Google (managed via RevenueCat).

We do not store full payment card numbers. App-store purchases are also governed by the applicable store’s billing and refund policies.

4. How to cancel

You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current paid period. Cancellation is at least as easy as signing up.

  • Web subscription (Stripe): cancel in your account billing settings at app.coldr.app, or email support@coldr.app.
  • Apple (App Store): manage or cancel in your Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device; Apple, not Coldr, controls App Store subscription cancellation and refunds.
  • Google (Play): manage or cancel in Google Play → Subscriptions on your device; Google, not Coldr, controls Play subscription cancellation and refunds.

After you cancel, you keep paid access until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not auto-charge you again after cancellation.

5. Refund stance

5.1 Subscriptions are generally non-refundable. Because access is delivered immediately and continuously, subscription fees (including partial/unused periods after a cancellation) are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated here.

5.2 AI credits and prepaid add-ons are non-refundable. AI credit top-ups and any other prepaid credits are non-refundable, are not redeemable for cash, have no value outside the Service, and may expire on the schedule disclosed at purchase.

5.3 Discretionary and legally required refunds. We may, at our discretion, issue a refund or credit (for example, for a duplicate charge or a verified billing error). Nothing in this Policy limits any refund or remedy you are entitled to under applicable law, including non-waivable rights under the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act, M.G.L. c. 93A (Section 8).

5.4 App-store purchases. Refunds for purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are handled by Apple and Google under their policies; request those refunds through the applicable store. Coldr generally cannot issue refunds for store-processed transactions.

6. Failed payments and changes

If a charge fails, we may retry the charge, downgrade your plan, or suspend or terminate paid access until payment is resolved. You remain responsible for amounts properly owed. You can update your payment method in billing settings or through the applicable app store.

7. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first at support@coldr.app so we can resolve it quickly — this is usually faster than a chargeback. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute for a valid charge may result in suspension or termination of your account and may forfeit access to remaining paid time. We reserve the right to contest invalid chargebacks and to recover amounts owed.

8. Massachusetts consumer notice (M.G.L. c. 93A)

Massachusetts consumers have rights under the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act, M.G.L. c. 93A, which prohibits unfair or deceptive acts or practices, and those rights cannot be waived by contract. Before filing a lawsuit under M.G.L. c. 93A, § 9, a consumer must first mail or deliver to Coldr a written 30-day demand for relief that identifies the consumer and reasonably describes the unfair or deceptive act or practice and the injury suffered. Coldr has 30 days to respond. Send your 93A demand by email to legal@coldr.app (Attn: Legal / 93A Demand), or by mail to Coldr, Attn: Legal / 93A Demand, Massachusetts, USA.

This Section does not limit, and is in addition to, any other rights you have under the Terms (including the dispute-resolution and arbitration provisions in Section 16 of the Terms, which contain a 30-day arbitration opt-out) or under law.
