Line Set Joints: Braze vs. ProPress
Make clean refrigerant joints two ways — brazed with a nitrogen purge, or pressed — then leak-check.

Before you start
- •Pick the method allowed for this job: brazing is universal; ProPress (e.g. Zoomlock/RLS) is allowed only with fittings listed for the refrigerant and pressure, and not on all line sizes.
- •Line set sized to the equipment, routed and supported, suction line insulated, ends clean and round (no kinks).
- •Nitrogen with a regulator on hand — you flow it through the joint while brazing to stop internal oxidation (scale).
