Set a Packaged Rooftop Unit (RTU)

Rig/crane-lift with tag lines, seat on a level gasketed roof curb, flash and weatherproof, land duct/electrical/gas/condensate through the curb, verify 3-phase rotation, then start up.

Approx. 360 min

Before you start

  • Curb already set and flashed into the roof by the roofer, level within tolerance, and the curb matches the unit's supply/return opening layout (curb adapter if the new unit footprint differs from the old).
  • Rigging plan signed off: crane reach/capacity for the unit weight at the radius, roof structural load confirmed, lift path and landing zone cleared, weather (wind) acceptable for the pick.
  • Power, gas, and a condensate path to the roof are available; voltage/phase at the disconnect matches the nameplate (208/230 vs 460, single vs 3-phase).
