Before you start

  • •Matched AHRI system (condenser + coil/air handler) confirmed — mismatched coils void the rating and the warranty.
  • •Correct refrigerant type for the equipment (R-410A vs R-454B/R-32) and a dedicated, clean gauge set/recovery tank for it.
  • •Local permit pulled and load calc (Manual J) on file so equipment is sized to the house, not the old box.
  • •Confirm electrical service has capacity for the new unit's MCA/MOCP before you start.
